About the business and the role

We are a boutique music school located in Preston, Victoria. We are looking for passionate, dedicated and enthusiastic piano teachers to join our community. Our studios are newly renovated with excellent facilities for both teachers and students alike. 

We are seeking tertiary qualified piano teachers to be part of our team. Teaching experience at a variety of levels is an advantage; from Kinder students to higher level exam students.

We are a small, but friendly music school where we thrive on a community based atmosphere with friendly interaction with parents, siblings and students. We enjoy getting to know our music families; and hope that you will too. 

We are looking for two dedicated teachers and the position is available for an immediate start, Term 1 2018. We are looking for the following days:

Tuesday 3:30pm to 8pm

Wednesday times to be discussed with successful applicant. 

Friday 3:30pm to 8pm

There is also the need for maternity leave replacement on Monday, Thursday and Saturday beginning at the end of February for the successful applicants. 

Responsibilities and Requirements:

• B.Mus or equivalent. 
• High level of technical ability and performance skills. 
• Ability to teach a range of ages from beginners to adults.
• Ability to teach both AMEB and ANZCA exam syllabus.
• Friendly and positive attitude.
• Ability to differentiate delivery of curriculum to engage students in a fun and dynamic learning environment. 
• Excellent communication skills with both children and parents.
• Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail. 
• Willingness to be mentored and guided by other teachers within the school
• Attendance at recitals, concerts and other studio functions. 
• Current Working With Children's Check.
