Project Officer - School Focused Youth Service

Band 6 - $82,841 - $90,294 (+9.5% super & RDO)
The School Focused Youth Service (SFYS) is a partnership project between Hobsons Bay City Council, Wyndham City Council and the Department of Education and Training. The service aims to strengthen partnerships between local schools and community service to implement targeted intervention projects addressing service gaps to support vulnerable children and young people 10-18 years.
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced project officer with an established background in youth or community development and a passion for working with organisations to implement evidence based interventions within education settings to support students at risk of disengaging.
The role will work closely with the Senior Project Officer to implement key interventions to address needs identified through consultation and collaboration with local schools, government agencies and service providers across Hobsons Bay and Wyndham.
The successful applicant will possess relevant tertiary qualifications, diverse experience across youth and school settings, proven ability to consult and develop partnerships, and demonstrated project management and evaluation experience.
The role is full time for a fixed term ending on the 28 December 2019. The successful applicant will be based with Hobsons Bay Youth Services, and required implement across Wyndham and Hobsons Bay Local Government Areas.
