Downer's Utilities business is seeking to engage the capability of an experienced Commercial Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to join our high-performing team working on major Water and Renewables infrastructure projects.

This role is primarily responsible for the efficient and effective management of all commercial and contractual matters for Water and Renewables infrastructure projects. A critical component of the role will be the development and implementation of appropriate commercial strategies to ensure a successful project delivery. Your role will be developing strategic alliances with suppliers and subcontractors, managing commercial/contractual correspondence with clients and initiation of any dispute proceedings with the client or subcontractor.

ABOUT YOU:

\n
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering/quantity surveying/finance or equivalent experience.
\n
• Demonstrated experience as a Commercial Manager role at a project, business unit or divisional level in a contracting environment
\n
• A proven ability to review and develop new processes and streamline transactional activities  
\n
• Ability to lead and inspire teams
\n
• Ability to contribute to the preparation of contract claims and review financial information
\n
• Ability to proactively manage dispute process with clients and subcontractors.
\n
• Developed financial planning and budgeting skills
\n
• Excellent commercial management skills relating to construction type contracts
\n
