\nPurpose of the Role:
\nThe purpose of this role is to be accountable at an advanced practice level for value adding to the coordination of clinical practice and best patient outcomes by demonstrating responsibility for the provision of nursing/midwifery leadership specialist advice, consultation and education to interdisciplinary staff and undertaking delegated activities with the scope of the role.
\nThis position will be responsible to provide clinical expertise, education and consultancy to staff and patients within the Caboolture Redcliffe Intensive Care Unit (CRICU) and across the organisation supporting the application of the principles of best practice, leadership and portfolio management to ensure safe practice and high quality outcomes.
\nThe Clinical Nurse Consultant Intensive Care Outreach will also coordinate planning and liaison between the general hospital wards and the Intensive Care Service to develop deterioration management plans for patients identified as high risk of medical emergency or clinical deterioration.
