What you will be involved with
A portfolio more than a single project. Making sure the contracts are appropriate for the type of work performed. This role is specifically for the delivery of a portion of the client program over a 4 year period working within an integrated delivery team (managing multimillion dollar investments per year).\xa0 The core responsibilities will include:

- Develop and implement the commercial strategy for the Program including the preparation, execution and administration of framework agreements within a major infrastructure Capital Delivery Program, to ensure all contractual obligations and expectations are achieved
- To prepare and issue work packages within established contract frameworks for pricing, assessment and evaluation of submissions received, make recommendations for approval, prepare formal contract documentation and administration for all contracts.
- To work with key client stakeholders especially in the preparation of commercial terms and conditions.
- Mentoring the rest of the commercial team.

Prerequisites\xa0
Relevant tertiary qualifications
Significant demonstrated experience working in a similar role within a large engineering and/or construction organisation. An EPC project management commercial background desirable
A strong understanding of commercial legislation and arrangements as they apply to major projects in Australia
Solid experience in contracting methodologies, contract documents, contract management processes, negotiation skills and an eye for detail
Demonstrated high level commercial negotiation skills
Knowledge of the commercial/contractual requirements of State Government entities
Ability to advise and mentor project staff on commercial matters
Strong leadership, verbal and written communication skills
Sound client facing skills with the ability to maintain and develop commercial client relationships
