We currently have an exciting vacancy for a suitably qualified Legal & Commercial Manager based at our Milton (Franchise Partner Support) office. The role has global responsibility and is pivotal to the ongoing growth and success of the international Poolwerx brand.

Major Job Accountabilities include:

• Review & advise on Franchise Agreements, Deed of Variations and statutory compliance in accordance with Australian / International Franchising Codes of Conduct
• Review & advise on Supplier Agreements, Shareholder Agreements, Tender Documents, Major Contracts and Franchise Business Sales
• Review & advise on Lease Documentation, Step-In-Deeds and Site Licences as required
• Manage the Intellectual Property portfolio including the timely renewal of registrations, trademarks and business names
• Manage the functionality of the Poolwerx Group's Risk Committee including oversight on corporate insurance policies and coverage requirements
• Effectively manage any litigated matters including assistance with high level negotiation and resolution
• Perform the Company Secretarial requirements for the business including compliance with ASIC regulations
• Research, draft and review general corporate policy & practice reflecting good governance and ethical adherence
• Implementation of innovative work practices and efficiency improvements
• Successful achievement of the major 'business impact' KPI's for the role / department

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 5 years' experience (minimum) in corporate legal management (in-house counsel or private practice)
• Have tertiary qualifications in Business / Law and be a current Practising Solicitor
• Have demonstrated conceptual, analytical, negotiation and problem-solving skills
• Possess high level communication, business relationship and organisational abilities
• Be energetic, ambitious, decisive, innovative and self-managed
• Preferably have experience working in the Franchising and/or Retail industry
