We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Venue Manager for our French inspired restaurant, located in Melbourne's CBD.

Mr Mason's menu is produce driven cuisine at its best, changing weekly (with a few French classics that always remain) our menu reflects a casual, rustic sensibility. We offer a mix of \xe0 la carte services and function events.

Key responsibilities 

The successful applicant will have the ability to work well under pressure whilst upholding the high standards expected of them. Including but not limited to: 

• Creativity and passion for the industry
• Ability or willingness to understand all financial requirements including quarterly budgets, and beverage costing
• Manage the operation of both the BOH and FOH team ensuring the venue is run as a cohesive unit
• Maintaining an effective communication channel between yourself and the Head Chef as well as the Directors 
• Adhering to all company and legal OHS practices

Skills and experience 

The applicant must have experience with running a small team, show a great work ethic and be passionate about providing excellent service.

• Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise and organise work load so as to meet deadlines including dealing with competing demands
• A strong sense of vision and purpose, innovation management
• High achievement drive. A commitment to drive for results
• Strong customer focus
• Superior and effective communication and interpersonal skills and interpersonal sensitivity
• A flexible approach to their work
• Available to work a variety of shifts
• Strong leadership abilities
• A proven background in a similar role
• Residency or a Visa that allows employment in Australia
