Monadelphous Group Limited is a leading ASX200 engineering group providing construction, maintenance and industrial services to the resources, energy and infrastructure sectors. Monadelphous is headquartered in Perth, Western Australia, with projects, facilities and workshops across Australia and New Zealand, China, Mongolia, Papua New Guinea and the United States of America.

Permanent staff position. Based in our Brisbane office, assisting East Coast operations and projects with reporting lines locally and back to Perth Corporate Head Office. Working within the Engineering & Construction division covering the East Coast Operations Water Treatment Plants, Water Irrigation, Renewable Energy businesses.

Negotiable base salary + super.

As the Commercial Manager you will be responsible for the financial reporting and monitoring of the business unit. Will directly report to the General Manager for the Business Unit and work closely with other managers within the broader group.

Responsibilities:

• Monthly business unit financial reporting and project monitoring
• Management accounting
• Financial governance of project budgets and
• Assist and advise in commercial strategy for the business unit.
• Some assistance with commercial terms and conditions providing additional support to the contracts team.
• Lead cost management initiatives.
• Analyse financial and industry data to make recommendations to enhance operational performance and margins.
• Manage financial compliance, record keeping and legal requirements.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in accounting or other related finance degree
• Proven experience within an engineering or construction environment.
• High level of written and verbal communication skills
• An ability to engage and develop relationships across all levels of the organisation and with key sub-contractors and client stakeholders.
